Durante queste calde giornate politiche ho riflettuto molto su di me. Strano forse, non dovrei pensare agli altri io che sono un "un-politico-che-deve-perseguire-il-bene-comune"? In my modest opinion I think I have a particular shape: I do politics, I have an elective office (important, even if they are not parliamentary ...) I am a student, I have a job. Incarnate in one person the two souls of the country these days are fighting among themselves. I noticed this thing this morning, when my friend on Facebook has released video of the dispute between Russia and a student Annozero. I, at least in principle, they are both kind and I really begs the question: "Which way do I look?". My half
university I have to admit that the university has never lived in a visceral, even though two years have been a student representative. Are been in a lull, during which I have dealt with the small daily problems of my branch NAFTA and only marginally with the problems of "machine university": I tried to put the bill, I tried to understand more, I tried to cut some space for the students but without great results. And I must admit I did not incazzai much for this, because after all those mechanisms could influence not felt much of my life and our students. In the two years of turmoil in Milan a few more there was, the Reform Gelmini took its first steps a couple of days of strike ( wrote a post on this blog about it), a pair di partecipazioni per curiosità alle assemblee nel giardino ma nulla di più.
La mia metà politica ha affrontato la questione universitaria parecchie volte: ricordo ancora infuocati dibattiti in Consiglio Comunale sulla riforma e sul Maestro Unico e polemiche sui giornali locali.
Ma tornando a me, vi chiederete se sto dalla parte della politica o dalla parte degli studenti. La domanda è di per sé sbagliata, perché frutto del clima di contrapposizione di questi giorni. Posso assicurarvi che si può essere tutte e due le cose assieme: non sono ancora arrivato ad occupare la mia camera da letto contro me stesso o a lanciarmi sampietrini in faccia.
Non riesco ad essere affascinato dalla mobilitazione studentesca of this period. I swear I tried it because many of my friends are fascinated and enthusiastic. I am not for the fact that we have with my political party, believe me. And not because there are always the same violence that wrecked everything they have before: I know very well that only a minority and that the protest was very different. Do not fight because I am fascinated by using arguments that do not excite me. And when the square is not excited and do not dream it's hard to follow. It 'absolutely right to fight because they have a precarious future, reasoning that I agree entirely (just remember that if it passed the Reform Gelmini competitions for the recruitment of temporary jump ...) but not enough.
Students if they want to be truly the beacon of the future should bring many other content in my opinion. The video of Pasolini you see a few posts below left me upset, I reviewed a thousand times. Analysis perhaps merciless but really clear and sharp that I think has many similarities to the present: " I think that students should not expect to fight by the implementation in law, or at least not only that, but with demand from themselves to be the most important, real, public .

But then I do not really ask what the heck is this culture, what on earth should be taught in universities for a better future for my age and what is really the future we want. You are concerned about how to operate the machine but not the university must provide content that . I believe the university can form only if you have really good teachers and not just because it has a good structure (the famous "governance"). The "better tomorrow" by Pasolini may not be the one "where everyone will the house with outbuildings, consumer goods and the money to buy them, where all go to school due to take over the culture and so on . I wonder on which of my two half will allow me to be "the most important part of public opinion." I think, and hope, both.
